Zoku, My New Obsession

So, we found out about the Zoku machine via our friends out in Florida. Its hot there... all year round. We live in Manchester, home of the rain and cold. However, Fred is a huge fan of ice lollies no matter what the weather, and sometimes no matter what the time of the day.

When we saw it Fred immediately wanted one, and after watching many videos on youtube about how you can stick slices of fruit in there, or cookies, or whatever you fancy freezing, I was sold too, and so I ordered one from Amazon, for £29.99 (price my vary)

It came 2 days later and we popped it in the freezer. Basically you get a cool little heavy freezing unit which you just leave in your freezer so you can make ice lollies whenever you like. You then get 6 sticks, 6 drip trays and an easy release tool to pull the lollies out of the maker.

You have to let the unit freeze initially for 24 hours. Then its good to go for around 9 lollies before it needs to go back in the freezer (Ive read it should be ready to use again in a few hours).

You basically then take the unit out of the freezer, put the sticks into the sadels and pour in your liquid of choice. We let ours freeze for 10 minutes, but thiner liquids would take around 7 minutes.
